I moved to Amelia Island at the age of ten. Growing up here I was able to see the area and island grow. I started my career in hospitality management in the restaurant outlets at the Ritz Carlton. It was here that I first met Tim Seyda. Working with top chefs and sommeliers I gained a passion for food and wine. After leaving the Ritz Carlton I dabbled in event planning and marketing but came back to the beverage world as the store manager at Amelia Island's ABC Fine Wine And Spirits, from there I moved to the distribution side working and managing with Southern Wine and Spirits. I worked closing with many of the islands restaurants and wine shops, including Bar Zin, Cucina South and Taste of Wine. Starting in the summer of 2016, Tim and I are venturing on a new acquisition of his, Amelia Island Wine Company. Here we hope to offer the island: fine wines at great pricing, offer educational classes and wine dinners to share our passion for food and wine. We hope to see you around Palmetto Walk Village!
Tim Seyda
I was attending the University of Minnesota when I came up with the concept for Bar Zin. It was during this time I also worked downtown in a high-end classic French restaurant, Les Quatre Amis. After leaving Les Quatre Amis. I opened a 5 diamond regional American restaurant for Amfac Hotel Company. The chef at the French restaurant, Rene Debon, and the G.M., Carlo Bicacci, were my two mentors whether they knew it or not. Rene's passion and intensity in the kitchen to insure that every dish was perfect has stuck with me over all these years. Carlo's eye for attention to the smallest detail day after day was also very inspiring. I have brought my own passion and zest for life to Bar Zin with over 30 years of working in the restaurant / hospitality industry. I have extended my culinary ventures with Cucina South, an Italian inspired restaurant. Now with Amelia Island Wine Company, I hope to expand my mark on Amelia Island by offering great wines for great times. Amelia Island Wine Company offers fine wines from around the world at great pricing for any budget. We also offer wine education classes, wine dinners, product tastings and have an array of wine accessories and wine based gifts. I am truly grateful to have the support and following in our community and look forward to seeing you all soon.
